Interxion LON1 – Brick Lane

Screen Shot 2016-07-15 at 09.11.12Just off Brick Lane in part of the former Truman’s Brewery is a large data centre run by Interxion.

The long brick building was converted into a data centre in 2002, and seems to have a very relaxed, almost run down aesthetic – I assume to remain unnoticed? (The data centre is the building in the centre, below)

Information from colo-x: “Because of its location quite a few financial services companies use Interxion.  It can offer lowest AVERAGE latency to many trading venues, such as LSE, Chi-X or NYSE – by virtue of its central location.”

The building is best described as scruffy and seems to be a data centre that has been forced into an existing building, with lots of visible cabling and temporary access etc. Still is has high levels of security, reflective windows, vents and of course all those cables are a give away.
