Romford North / Infinity

A 30 minute walk north of Romford station is a giant facility run by Infinity, appropriately  called Romford North (click on the image to open in Google maps).

Opened in 2010, the building is a huge industrial shed almost entirely surrounded by semi-detached houses.

It is a custom built data centre in classic grey corrugated steel, which looks like a high quality, extremely secure, warehouse.

The facility is surrounded by concentric circles of fences, topped by razorwire, including what looks like an electric fence.

Highly visible signs all around the site. The normal CCTV and danger of death warning signs along with a guard dogs on site sign.

Unlike many of the converted industrial units the car park of this building was not full of cooling units as these are integrated into the building (as can be seen from the aerial view. The only kit seen infant of the building were these two generators:
